Hot knife weed

A brand born from the nostalgia of hot knifing with your friends brought to fruition in the emerging legal landscape. Launched in 2017, hot nife has been dedicated to quality products that get you high. Our commitment has always been about bringing small craft cannabis to market. Our focus is hash, and we believe in a solventless future. Founded by Circe Wallace, a former professional snowboarder turned agent to the stars in surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding, hot nife is a brand built with a commitment to quality and fun.

Our current flower offering in our hash-infused joints comes from a small farm in Del Rio Humboldt with our hybrid coming in at 25.5%. We are sourcing the best organic material available. The hash material came from the organic “hands in the earth” farm in Sonoma tucked up against the hills from a legacy farmer, with wild peacocks roaming and communally focused.

Our hash is hand stirred and made exclusively with ice and water, ensuring a solventless experience.

Our limited drop of badder was sourced and processed by 710labs, one of the industry’s most respected producers. Made from fresh frozen ensuring the full expression of the plant’s terpene profile. We don’t grow our own genetics because there are a multitude of small farms that have been doing this for decades.

We are an inclusive company and committed to being ecologically responsible. We use glass tubes for our pre-rolls and jars, and recyclable paper boxes with soy-based biodegradable inks. Our paper cones are made from hemp/palm husks and the colors are solvent-free soy/hemp.

Hot Knifing

Definition – What does Hot Knifing mean?

Hot knives or hot knifing refers to a method of consuming cannabis. With this method, two knives, or any other similarly shaped, flat, metal object, are heated up to the point of glowing red. This is generally accomplished on a stove’s burner, but can be done with a blow torch or any other source of fire.

The user then takes one knife and places a bit of marijuana or hash onto it and then takes the other knife and sandwiches the cannabis between the two. A vessel, often a soda bottle with the bottom cut off, is placed over top of the smoldering cannabis and the user inhales the smoke through the open end.

MaximumYield explains Hot Knifing

Hot knifing is not a method that most cannabis consumers use regularly, though some report a better high with it. It is often done socially or just occasionally as there is a greater chance of injuring oneself than with other methods of consuming cannabis. Though known and practiced throughout the world, it is most prevalent in New Zealand.

Hot knives or hot knifing are just a couple of several different terms used for the same or similar processes of consuming cannabis. Hot knifing is also known by some as:

  • Blades
  • Bladers
  • Dots
  • Knife hits
  • Knifers
  • Spotting
  • Spots

Hot knifing is considered a low-cost method of getting high from cannabis, as nothing else is required other than household knifes and a stove top. However, it can be quite dangerous, especially as users become more intoxicated with each hit. With more and more low-cost vaporizers entering the market, as with more accessibility, hot knifing has fallen a bit out of practice.
