We believe in hemp. As a crop, it could single-handedly solve many of the world’s problems. Hemp is the one plant that has been given to us that can feed, clothe and provide us fuel for vehicles. Did you know Henry Ford made a car using primarily hemp and now one Canadian company has made a car from it?

Our initial interest in hemp is to bring to the world the amazing healing powers this seemingly simple plant possesses.

We believe in hemp as a daily dietary supplement. We believe a daily dose of hemp oil with all its natural vitamins, minerals and omegas along with a healthy diet and regular exercise will boost our bodies and uplift our mood.

At Hemp2Wellness, we bring you our love for hemp, and hopefully you too will see the potential.

Which hemp product is right for you?

We get a lot of questions asking which products are best for various uses so we decided to create this handy reference as to what each of our products consists of. We truly believe that raw hemp and CBD are nutritional supplements of the future and we hope you do too.

*Note: We make no medical claims whatsoever about what these products will do for you and we advise that whenever taking a dietary supplement that you speak to your Dr for any medical interactions or concerns.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil, often referred to as hemp oil, is a health supplement containing CBD (Cannabidiol), a type of compound known as a cannabinoid found abundantly in cannabis and hemp. Studies have shown that CBD has the potential to provide many benefits to our health, although most research so far has been on animals rather than humans. That said, anecdotal research suggests CBD can help maintain optimal wellbeing by balancing the human endocannabinoid system, a complex communication network of special receptors and cannabis-like chemicals found in our body. CBD oil is the most widely used method for taking CBD, although some people choose CBD capsules or CBD sprays. At Hemp2wellness, we have one of the most extensive ranges of CBD oil on the market, with strengths ranging from 5% – 35% CBD content.

What is hemp oil?

Hemp oil can sometimes be the same as CBD oil, which can be somewhat confusing. In order to be sure, you must check the ingredients and see if the hemp oil contains CBD (Cannabidiol). If it doesn’t contain CBD, then you know it’s probably hemp seed oil and may not be what you’re looking for.

Unlike regular hemp oil, hemp seed oil has a completely different effect on the body and does not contain CBD. That’s because CBD is found predominantly in the flowers, buds and leaves, while the hemp seeds contain only trace levels. That said, hemp seed oil is an excellent source of nutrition as it contains essential fatty acids Omega 3 and 6 and is incredibly moisturizing inside and out. That’s why, as well as hemp oil, we also include hemp seed oil in our skin and hair ranges .

Where can I buy CBD Capsules?

Most of us are used to taking our nutritional supplements in the form of pills or capsules. They’re convenient and leave no nasty aftertaste. It’s understandable then why some customers prefer CBD capsules over CBD oil. But what most CBD consumers don’t know is that when swallowing CBD capsules, only a small amount of the active ingredients are absorbed by the body. A far more effective method is taking CBD oil , which goes directly into the bloodstream through capillaries under the tongue. At Hemp2wellness, we pride ourselves on our quality CBD oils, and while we don’t offer CBD capsules, many of our customers opt for our raw hemp capsules . Because Raw Hemp is not exposed to any heat, more of the essential ingredients are preserved, in particular CBDA, the acidic precursor to CBD.

What is Raw Hemp?

The hemp plant contains hundreds of special compounds called cannabinoids. If you examined freshly picked hemp or cannabis sativa, you would find very little CBD. Instead, there would be an abundance of CBDA, which is CBD’s acidic precursor. That’s because CBDA is transformed into CBD through the heat process known as decarboxylation.

However, CBDA is an interesting cannabinoid in its own right. Indeed, some people prefer taking a nutritional supplement that contains CBDA like our Raw Hemp Capsules as they contain the full spectrum of active hemp ingredients.

It’s a bit like the nutritional difference between raw and cooked food; in raw hemp – all the cannabinoids, terpenes (molecules that give the aroma), flavonoids (responsible for hemp’s unique colour), vitamins and minerals are preserved.

Water Soluble CBD

We all want to get maximum ‘bang for our buck’ when it comes to buying health supplements and in CBD terms this means making sure our body can use as much of this fantastic cannabinoid as possible. This is known as bioavailability.

CBD has relatively low absorption rates – if you take CBD orally (swallowing) only 6% actually makes it into the bloodstream. First of all, the CBD has to pass through the digestive tract, after which it gets broken down by liver enzymes before it finally gets to do its work. As a result, scientists are always on the lookout for novel delivery methods that increase the amount of CBD absorbed in the body.

Right now, there is a lot of excitement surrounding water soluble CBD. Our bodies are about 90% water, so it makes sense that CBD made soluble in water can be absorbed more easily into the body. Due to the higher absorption rates, less CBD is required, which ultimately works out in favour of the customer’s pocket.

Hemp2wellness Water Soluble CBD is a full spectrum product and as well as high levels of CBD, also contains 1% CBDA, as well as other minor cannabinoids and terpenes. CO2 extraction preserves all the important elements in the plant, making it a 100% natural product suitable for customers interested in getting best value for money.

CBD Spray

Looking for maximum value for money with your CBD oil product? We think our Hemp2wellness ground-breaking CBD Spray provides the answer.

That’s because our CBD Spray gives targeted sublingual (under the tongue) delivery – which means more CBD gets into your bloodstream quicker. What we’re talking here is better bioavailability – which refers to the amount of CBD that can be used by our bodies.

Most of us are used to swallowing our health supplements and medication. But did you know this means only a fraction of their active ingredients get absorbed into the bloodstream and utilised by our bodies? The same is true for CBD.

Oral delivery methods such as capsules offer only a 6% absorption rate, compared to approximately 12% when CBD is taken under the tongue. That’s because when swallowing CBD it must first pass through our digestive system before making it into our bloodstream through the hepatic portal system and liver.

This explains why sublingual CBD delivery methods like oils and tinctures are so popular. But have you noticed how even when you take CBD oil under the tongue, a certain amount still ends up going down the back of your throat?

In order to solve this problem, we have developed our Hemp2wellness CBD spray. You still get the 100% full cannabinoid and terpene profile, but the spray action means it is targeted under the tongue so that more CBD is absorbed by the capillaries going straight into the bloodstream.

CBD Vape Juice

Vaping is huge right now, not just as an alternative to smoking cigarettes, but as an effective way to take CBD.

Vaping means inhaling vapour produced by an e-cigarette or similar device. Many smokers have turned to vaping as a way to reduce the damage caused by consuming tobacco. But why do people vape CBD?

There are many reasons. One is that by inhaling the CBD through your vaporizer you are taking it straight into the bloodstream through the lungs. Not only does this lead to improved CBD absorption, but it is the quickest way to feel the effect from your CBD product.

As vaporizers are part and parcel of everyday millennial life, it’s also a discreet way of consuming CBD, including at work or on a night out.

But not all CBD vape juices are made equal, and in order for the CBD oil to be made ‘vapeable’ – many manufacturers add propylene glycol (PG) or vegetable glycerin (VG). While both are recognised as safe by the FDA, some studies suggest that their consumption could lead to health problems such as asthma and allergies.

That’s why at Hemp2wellness we have opted to mix our CBD vape juices with fractionated coconut oil as we believe there’s no need to sacrifice all-natural ingredients in order to create a satisfying vaping experience.

Not only that, our CBD vape juices maintain their whole plant cannabinoid and terpene profiles, unlike many CBD vape juices on the market that are made with CBD isolate. Hemp2wellness Vape Juices come in 10%, 16%, 20% and 25% strengths to suit all tastes and needs.

Hemp for skin and hair

Hemp is an amazingly versatile plant and for a long time hemp seed oil has been a key ingredient in many beauty products.

Hemp seeds are classed as superfoods as they are rich in protein and have the perfect balance between essential fatty acids omega 3 and 6. Hemp seed oil can itself be taken as a nutritional supplement or used topically. When applied to our skin it is extremely moisturizing and nourishing, with studies linking hemp seed oil to the improvement in skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

That’s why we use hemp seed oil as the cornerstone ingredient in our Hemp2wellness skin and hair care range.

We’ve gone the extra mile developing hemp-based beauty products to keep you moisturised and glowing from head to toe – literally. Yes, that’s right, from our hemp shampoo to our unique hemp foot cream – we’re heaping on the hemp so that every part of you gets the hemp seed oil treatment.
