Hemp Generation Brand Identity

In 2018, just after two years of hemp (not to be confused with marijuana) being legalized in North Carolina, the owners of Hemp Generation began cultivating and producing CBD rich hemp flower and tinctures. As the Hemp CBD industry started to boom, HG quickly became known as one of the top quality products in the region’s retail space. Hemp Generation focuses on providing hemp products that are properly represented, tested, and top quality. HG came to me with the challenge of creating a visual experience that could set them apart from their competitors and that represented what they value the most — quality. The roots are where it all starts. Our brand identity highlights the idea of growth. Part of the growth process begins with planting rows and rows of a selection of the best clones, with the strongest roots. Every aspect and detail of the plants are then considered and highly cared for all the way up until it hits the shelf. Highly detailed yet very simple, our brand identity graphically captures that approach. This identity and visual system was extended across all touchpoints — from the packaging, to print collateral, to communications, and to the website.
