Hammer Hemp is a full-spectrum Hemp Oil, but what does that mean? Here is some valuable information from Fueling Expert, Steve Born, to answer one of our most frequently asked questions regarding Hammer Hemp:
QUESTION: Why do some CBD oil products say “full spectrum” and others say “isolate?” What’s the difference? Also, what can you tell me about the extraction process?
ANSWER: We use the term “full spectrum” for all Hammer Hemp products because it conveys that all of the cannabinoids—Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabinol (CBN), Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabichromene (CBC), Cannabidivarin (CBDv), Cannabidiolic Acid (CBDA)—are present, along with all of the naturally present terpenes.
An “isolate” is just CBD (cannabidiol) only and does not include the other cannabinoid compounds or terpenes content.
Our manufacturer uses “a proprietary hemp extraction process [that] ensures the preservation of nearly all beneficial hemp derived cannabinoids and terpenes while allowing us to eliminate unwanted compounds.” When you look at the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for Hammer Hemp you’ll see that it’s devoid of heavy metals, solvents, microbes, or contaminants.
This same proprietary extraction process — as well as the fact that the plants grown are already naturally low-THC-containing plants — is why our products contain 0.0% THC. This, too, is denoted on the COAs for our products.
Because it is a proprietary process that our manufacturer uses for its extraction process, it is a “guarded, company only” process that we nor anyone else has access to.
The same is true for their nano-sized microemulsion process, which allows for much greater bioavailability as compared to other CBD products. It is a proprietary process that is only known by the manufacturer for obvious reasons. The process is described in as much information as we have available from the manufacturer on the Hammer Hemp page (“Hammer Hemp: The Gold Standard”).
