Morning: Opening the Dispensary

As an employee at Natural Apothecary, my day begins early. I arrive at our Belleville location at 8:30 AM, an hour before we open to the public. The first order of business is to ensure our inventory is fully stocked and our displays are neatly arranged. We take pride in offering a wide variety of cannabis products to suit every customer’s needs.

Mid-Morning: Customer Service

Once the doors open at 9:30 AM, we welcome a steady stream of customers from all over Essex County. Many are regulars from nearby towns like Newark, Kearny, and Bloomfield. As a budtender, my role is to:

  • Greet customers warmly
  • Answer questions about our products
  • Provide recommendations based on individual needs
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations

Afternoon: Educational Sessions

At Natural Apothecary, we believe in the power of education. During slower periods, we often host small informational sessions for customers interested in learning more about cannabis. Today, I’m leading a discussion on the differences between indica and sativa strains, and their potential effects.

Evening: Restocking and Closing

As the day winds down, we prepare for closing. This involves:

  • Restocking shelves
  • Cleaning the dispensary
  • Updating inventory records
  • Securing all products in our state-of-the-art vault

Before leaving, I reflect on the day’s interactions. Whether it was helping a first-time customer from East Orange or assisting a medical patient from Montclair, each encounter reinforces why I love working in this industry. Natural Apothecary isn’t just a pot shop or weed dispensary; we’re a vital part of the community, providing safe access to recreational and medicinal cannabis.

As I lock up and head home, I’m already looking forward to another fulfilling day tomorrow at Natural Apothecary, serving the diverse cannabis needs of Northern New Jersey.
