Seven7h Sense, Reviewed
Alright y’all, you’re in for a treat. Today we’re here to chat all things Seven7h Sense — AKA my favorite pain-relieving, muscle-soothing CBD products on the market to date. Let’s dive right in.
Seven7h Sense 101
Like always, let’s talk big picture before product-specific reviews. Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy is a line of high-quality CBD body and skincare products. Think: sugar scrubs, body washes, muscle balms, and more. Each product is designed to soothe the body in one way or the other, whether that’s targeted towards aches and pains, tension, or all-around inflammation.
As we all know, just because there’s an intention doesn’t always mean there’s a delivered result. In this case, however, there is. Take it from someone with stubborn joints and a finicky psoas muscle: Seventh Sense knows what’s up. So much so, in fact, that I have their products lining my bedside sill, my desk drawers, and even my purse.
Read on to find out why.
CBD Muscle Balm ($25)
This hemp-derived, paraben-free muscle balm is sold in six scents (Cedar Jasmine, Eucalyptus Spearmint, Orange Bergamot, Chamomile Green Tea, Citrus Blossom, and Hemp Patchouli), all of which are designed to alleviate muscle discomfort and promote relaxation through aromatherapy. While not all of the formulas are minty in scent, they all feature a slight cooling sensation that instantly soothes on contact — that’s thanks to ingredients like ginger, peppermint, and camphor.
Real talk: I live for this balm. Each stick is infused with 200 milligrams of pure CBD, which goes straight to work once you apply it. I switch back and forth between the Citrus Blossom and Eucalyptus Spearmint scents depending on my mood, reserving the former for nighttime relaxation and the latter for daily invigoration. Regardless of the scent, after using the sticks for three weeks, it’s safe to say I’m obsessed. I look forward to each application, as I know it will soothe my oddly achy body on the spot.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, Seven7h Sense no longer has this product for sale (or any products for that matter). For something similar, check out this Hemp-Infused muscle rub stick from Charlotte’s Web CBD.
CBD Deep Relief Cream ($35)
Available in three scents (Orange Bergamot, Chamomile Green Tea, and Eucalyptus Spearmint), this heavy cream is designed to provide fast-acting pain relief while working simultaneously to deeply hydrate the skin. It’s formulated with 500 milligrams of hemp-derived CBD and offers both physical and scent-derived benefits.
While it absolutely soothes aches and pains to some small extent, I still find myself reaching for my CBD Muscle Balm Sticks. The only area of my body where I found the cream worked more intensely was behind my knees. As random as it may be, every once in a while I get aches from standing too long (endless NYC walking, am I right?), and I found that applying this slightly cooling cream feels noticeably more soothing in this sensitive area than it did on my shoulder, collarbone, or lower back.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, Seven7h Sense no longer has this product for sale (or any products for that matter). For something similar, check out CBD Recover Cream from cbdMD.
CBD Intensive Hand Cream ($20)
As a nail writer for Byrdie, I’m all about keeping my hands in tip-top shape. As such, when I first discovered this CBD hand dream, I was all in. I’m not sure what I was hoping for, as super soothed fingers and palms could very well take away from my ability to type. Nevertheless, I lathered up and waited for the results.
I have to be honest, I didn’t feel any soothing sensation other than how silky smooth my hands felt after application. The cream is made with arnica, shea butter, and 250 milligrams of CBD. At the end of the day, the CBD inclusion feels trendier than effective, but I’m also never going to shy away from a hand cream that smells like the inside of a citrusy Soul Cycle studio (AKA the Citrus Blossom scent).
UPDATE: Unfortunately, Seven7h Sense no longer has this product for sale (or any products for that matter). For something similar, check out this CBD-infused Nourishing Body Lotion from Plant People.
CBD Soothing Foot Therapy ($17)
After trying the hand cream, my expectations were rather diminished for this foot cream. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised by how affected I felt after application.
Instead of just rubbing my feet down with lotion, I layered them with an ample amount of the Eucalyptus Spearmint product (like, a lot) and immediately put on a pair of thick, semi-tight socks. The result? A creeping soothing sensation that went all the way from the beds of my feet up into my calves, thighs, and psoas. And thus my new nighttime routine was born. I’m not sure if it’s in my head or if having CBD-filled socks is actually magic. Either way, I’m all for it.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, Seven7h Sense no longer has this product for sale (or any products for that matter). For something similar, check out this CBD foot cream from CBD for Life.
